Chelsea Day
 
Chelsea International Academy has celebrated its 2nd Chelsea Day on 24th January 2009. The program was organized in the Chelsea premises. All the parents and different distinguished people attended the program. The program was started by the different exhibitions. There was Science exhibition, computer exhibitions and art & craft exhibition. Different scientific theories were demonstrated by the students on science exhibition. Chelsea Website and awareness on Global Warming was demonstrated in computer exhibition. Different paintings and drawings made by students themselves were displayed in Art exhibition and different pre-voc items and handicraft items were displayed in Art and Craft exhibition.
       
Parents collected prizes and certificates of their children on different activities like best in academic performance, best in different sports activities, and other extra curricular activities.
       
The Chelsea Day 2009 program was formally started by the warm welcome speech by the Founder Director and Principal Mr. Sudhir K. Jha. He assured the parents that the responsibility they have given and the expectation they are having from Chelsea Int'l Academy will be fulfilled. The school will put the full effort and the best to enhance and sharpen the knowledge and skill of the students practically and using other different teaching methodology. He further added that the school is not only trying to make the student to pass only the exams but also it is making the students to survive in the society. He gave an example of the great president of United States Abraham Lincoln.
       

The program was then followed by the National Anthem performed by the students of classes’ I-VI. Then there was a classical dance in the song “Mere Dholana” performed by the students of class IV, V and VI. The classical dance was choreographed by the Kathak Teacher Ms. Tara Manandhar. After that, a beautiful English song “Hello to the children of the world” was sung by the students of classes I, II and III. The song was directed by the music teacher Mr. C. B. Chhetri. Then there was a group dance on Rhymes “Bajelai Lyaidine Nyano Kapada” and “Papa Darling/Mama Darling”. The group dance was performed by the little students from class Nursery. The dance was choreographed by Ms. …………. Then after the program was followed by the Taekwondo demonstration by the students of classes I-VI. The demonstration was directed by Taekwondo Teacher Mr. Rabindra Budhathoki. Role play of different jobs was perfomed by the students of LKG and English play and Dance was perfomed by the students of UKG. Students from classes I-VI sang a song “Hamrom Khusi ko lagi”, a patriotic song of Gopal Yonzon, and the song was arranged by Vocal teacher Mr. Shishir Yogi. Then after a Nepali Group Dance on song “Ho Ho Male Ho…” was performed by the students from LKG. Cultural fashion show was performed by the students from classes I and II. Again a Nepali group Dance on “Machhi Maran Ho..” was performed by the students of class UKG. A beautuful English song “I may not pass this way again” was sang by the students of classess IV, V and VI. A jhyaure dance on “Kalo Choli” was performed by classes I, II, III and IV and the song was choreographed by Nepali dance teacher Ms. Subhadra Thapa. Then the program was followed by a Nepali song “Bihan Uthne Bittikai” sang by the students from the classes I and II. The program was followed by a musical play from classes V and VI.

Award ceremony, then after was held. Award winning students from different National and international competition were distributed the prizes. Best teaching and non-teaching staffs were also distributed prizes on the event. Chairperson of Chelsea International Academy Mr. Anand Aditya presented a souvenir to the chief guest Mr. Kedar Bhakta Mathema, former secretary of SAARC. Chief guest also delivered a short speech on Chelsea and the program. Mrs. Pramita Bista, Managing Director of Chelsea thanked to all the parents for attending the program, to all the teaching and non-teaching staff for making the program a big success. Lastly, the program was ended from a Nepali Dance including Yak Dance performed by the students from III, IV, V and VI.
